Well, it happened....Eli is now ONE YEAR OLD!!! He had a pretty simple day...he is saving up for a fun weekend of Birthday & Baptism celebrations. Yes, that means TWO cakes :)

On Tuesday, Randy brought Eli down to school to have lunch with me and then when I got home from work, we took Eli for his first haircut. He did a great job (except for the last ear!) and we think he looks quite dapper! The top picture is the "before" and the last picture is the "after!"

Dinosaur Land

On Saturday we took Eli to a picnic in the park and to Dinosaur Land (a "from the" 50's style destination off Route 340 South)...it was a beautiful day and we had a great time! Eli really enjoyed looking at all the dinosaurs and we think the swing was the highlight of the picnic!

What a day!

Today was tough...alright, I admit I had a breakdown while on the phone with my mom last night...I had another "mini" breakdown when I got in the car at 5:50 a.m....and then....I was o.k. I trudged forward, made the best of my day and took it bit by bit.

I have a WONDERFUL son & husband who were waiting for me at the door with high tea (my favorite) and yellow tulips! The lavender scones, snuggles & kisses made everything better!!!
Let me repeat, Randy made the entire high tea for me...he is THE BEST!

The video is of Eli and his stuffed puppy, Reggie. We created him with Momo & Pops at the Build a Bear in NJ. He is named after the greatest Yankee of all time :) I swear at the end of the video, it looks like Eli smiles & winks at the camera! HA!

Doomsday is here :(

Doomsday is here...April 10th...my first day back at work :(

I have mixed emotions: Eli will be with Randy for 8 weeks- which is priceless. As if he needs more time to become a Da-da's boy!!! I love my job, I love my students and I am excited to get back into the groove. I am sad that I will miss more of this special time with my son. He is such a blessing and I love & treasure every minute with him.

AHHH, (insert cuss words here) back to reality.....

A day in the life of Eli

He hates the hat...I think it's adorable and couldn't resist buying it...he hates it! (Randy doesn't like it either!) The second I put it on his head, his hands go up and it's THROWN off of his head :)

The other photo is when Eli decided to help us with some chores. No lie, he climbed on top of the dishwasher door and sat there!

Giggle Man

Eli has found his giggle and it is contagious...sorry for the sideways shot!

Help!!! Pops got Eli a life vest and to quote an old commercial, "I've fallen and can't get up!!!!" The tongue sticking out is too cute.

Seriously though...now Eli is all set for some fun, sun, swimming and boating at the shore this summer. It was the funniest thing to watch him in the vest! He is ready to get in that water!
