Thankful

We are very thankful for all of our blessings. That's about all I can say without being emotional right now. Knock on wood...I believe the boys are out of the woods and on the mend! Like I said, Knock on wood....

ER trip #2

And the fun just keeps rollin' on....Joel visited the ER for a second time today...verdict is: ALLERGIC REACTION to the antibiotics that he has been on for the past 6 days. I won't even begin to mention how irritated & p.o'd we are that the 1st diagnosis was WRONG.....ARGH! He will be staying home tomorrow with Momo & Pops and then heading to his pediatrician for a visit. Eli has been a wonderful big brother, pointing to Joel and saying "Boo Boo" ;)

When it rains....

When it rains, it pours.....Joel went to bed last night with a "MILD" rash...and we woke him at 5:30 to get ready for daycare and this is what he looked like! His rash was INSANE, especially on his face :(
After a trip to the ER (thinking it was a food allergy), we found out he has viral exanthem, which is a viral rash- not contagious and will just clear over 2-3 days. No medicine can be given to the poor little guy. They said that it develops from a virus, such as a cold- which he has had for over a week now!
The flip side is that his temperament is fantastic and he gets a day home with Daddy to rest & recover!
Told you the Morgan Boys Sick Saga wasn't over yet!!!! Here's hoping :)

Ahhhh...

The boys are on the mend and getting better & better each day. Randy ended up spending two days home with them and then I stayed home for a third day. We spent the whole day in our jammies ;)
As you can tell from these pictures the boys are back to their old selves!!! HALLELUJAH!

SICK :(

Just in case this last week wasn't "testing" enough...we now have two sick kids. It all started on Friday when we picked them up from "school." Joel was running a fever and we attributed it to teething- his top 4 teeth are all coming in at the same time ;)
On Saturday he slept until 12:30- you read that right- 12:30 P.M!!! Then he went down for a nap at 2:30 and slept for another two hours! When he woke up, his left eye was all weepy and gummy- not a good sign. Both boys started developing a cough. (Can you call it that in a young child when they sound like they smoke 3 packs a day???) A trip to Urgent care on Sunday morning and the verdict is.....YEP, COLDS & PINK EYE!!!!
As any pink eye survivor can tell you, when one goes down, another one is about to fall....Needless to say, I came home from school today to hear the words from my darling hubby, "Honey, Eli's eye is all gummy!" OH, JOY. Off to the doc. we went and long story short... both boys are now nestled in bed with a good dose of antibiotics & eye drops. I'm sure this is not the last chapter in the Morgan Sick Saga...to be continued...
Oh, and if you feel bad now...take a look at these horrible little guys :(

Tough week!

(Go Yankees!)

I'd like to say that this was a week filled with lots of interesting & exciting stuff....truth is, this was one tough week!!
On Monday, the boys started going to a Daycare Center, or Child Development Center (CDC)- whatever you want to call it!
It's been a week of adjusting. A week of faith & much emotional strength. A week of waking them up very early. A week of tired, worn out kiddos when we pick them up. The good news is that we are learning that our boys are FLEXIBLE, HAPPY and just downright a delight to be around, even when we are waking them up at 5:30 in the morning to get up, get dressed and get to "school"- as we like to call it!

One of Eli's highlights...is that he worked on finger painting and clearly repeated, "Red" when his teacher asked him too! Quite an accomplishment for a little man struggling with speech. He also got to make a pumpkin apple bake for his class snack. Joel's highlight of the week was that his teachers let him hang out with Eli's 2 year old class for part of each day! The teachers all said that Joel loved being able to be near his big brother!

Both boys seemed to love being with the other kids and having lots of structured activities. Each day was filled with a new adventure and we look forward to seeing them grow & learn. Oh, and Friday was "picture day", so when those come in, I will be sure to post them!

We are very blessed to have a family that is so supportive and will to help us and our kids during this big transition. Big shout-out of THANKS to Momo, Pops, Grandma, Pap, Great Grandma James & Aunt Tiggy! We love you guys!!!

Aren't we just the cutest?
If I lean forward, I can make the horn beep. HA!
Strolling along the neighborhood.

Do you mean to tell me, that if I hold this bag open, people will put candy IN IT?!?!?!?
