Pirate Party!

Joel's 1st Birthday Party was a great success! It was a pirate theme...ARGH! As predicted, Joel ATTACKED his cupcake. Our family was stylin' in pirate shirts: Mine said, "Pirate." Randy's said, "The beatings will continue until moral improves." Eli's had a skeleton saying, "&*!#*&)%" and Joel's said, "Yo Ho Ho and a Bottle of Milk"

before and AFTER :)

Joel's Great Grandma James believes that getting a baby's hair cut before their first birthday is bad luck! So, the first place we headed once we got home from work on Joel's birthday...the barber :) He was so calm and relaxed in the chair, looking quite dapper...and then the stylist broke out the mohawk style. HA!

Cruising Along

Time is just cruising along around here...we are currently gearing up for Joel's first birthday and his first haircut!!!! Great Grandma James, who is 85 years old, swears that it is bad luck to cut a child's hair before their first birthday. Joel's hair is so long, he is starting to get mistaken for a little girl! Guess where we are going as soon as we get home from work on the 25th???
These are some of the photos taken in the last two week. We have been very good about having lots of outings in the evenings, even though Randy & I are back to work. We even found time to take the boys to waffle house...notice the cute WH hats our waitress gave them :)

My little Cowboy

This "shoot em" toy was a real bargain at our neighborhood yard sale. Eli has an "outside the box" idea on how to successfully hit the targets...

Good Times :)

Back to school now, but still enjoying every minute home with the boys!
In these pictures, Eli helped me make banana bread and we played Ele-fun as a family. When you turn the elephant on, the butterflies fly out of his trunk and you have to catch them with your net. Eli let them drop on the floor and then ran around collecting them, Joel would just look up and laugh at the floating butterflies. The next picture is of Joel triumphantly crawling up the entire flight of stairs. And last but not least, is Randy's creative way to carry about 50 pounds of excess weight down the steps :)
