So our friend Carolynn has a theory that every baby has a magical "term" or "word" that makes them break into hysterics! We originally thought that Eli's giggle word was "sausages." (Yes, we are strange people!) Come to find out that Eli loves 80's t.v quotes...."I pity the fool", "What choo talkin' bout Willis?"and "Kiss my grits". Here's his typical reaction to one of those 80's phrases!
This story began when we were planning to adopt a daughter from China. Little did we know, God had a different and much better plan for our lives.

Summer's Here!!!
Our summer has officially begun, so it's been a real blast to both be home with our son....
If you look real close at the first photo, you can see tooth #1 on the bottom of Eli's gum :) He has #2 and #3 already on there way. His only real side effects have been strange sleep patterns and lots of cuddling! The next photo is Eli with Grandma and Great Grandma James. He just loves his Grandma's!
This week we had our second home study visit- only one more to go! Believe it or not, Eli's adoption process is not over yet! We have our last home visit in August and then we have to wait for some paperwork from Holt and meet with an adoption lawyer to begin the finalization process which involves a court date! We're almost there...

The First Father's Day
After Sunday School & Church, Momo made everyone a lunch of homemade crab cakes and then it was off to the flee market's. (As my Dad, Pops, put it, "That's Man Shopping!") It was a beautiful day topped off with dinner at Da-Da's favorite Mexican restaurant- Yum!
Here's a photo of Eli, Pop's & Da-Da at the flee market! (Notice Randy's sporty new flee-market bargain sunglasses!)

New habit
Check out the newest trick that Eli learned from his Momo....Thankfully he stopped after about a day & a half of acquiring this lovely new habit. Let's hope he doesn't start up again!!!
For the past week, Eli has been hanging with Momo & Pops during the school day. He is a bundle of smiles & giggles and LOVES all the attention. Pops takes him for a walk around the golf course every morning....too cute! I wish I had more photos to share with you, but unfortunately we are at work and not enjoying everyday of seeing them bond!! (There are only 4 days left of school, so don't feel too bad for us!)

Exciting times :)
Eli & I started our first swimming class this week! Let's just say that the water was a TAD cold. OK, even I was cold when I got in. Eli did very well considering that little detail. (He had to brave the cold, I had to face the bathing suit!!)
He is also making some huge progress....he's moving onto a sippy cup and has cut his first tooth! His first independent steps are right around the corner.
Quite exciting things are happening in the Morgan household :)
