The number one question we hear is, "Do the boys get along well with each other?" HA! Take a look....
This story began when we were planning to adopt a daughter from China. Little did we know, God had a different and much better plan for our lives.

Traditions
This weekend marked the continuation of a family tradition. When I was little, my mom would take us up the road to a local farm for some strawberry picking. Then we would come home and make (or watch her make) chocolate covered strawberries....the tradition continued this weekend with my husband, our two boys, and my mom- their Momo.
We had a blast and will definitely make this a yearly tradition :) Next time, I promise to get pictures of the chocolate part!!

This picture makes me smile. Seems likes we are raising "Southern Boys" sitting on the front porch reading. It makes me think of the movie, Secondhand Lions...the great story of two brothers that are very close and their journey in life together.

Mama, Momo & the boys...a full circle moment!

Pasta and an ambulance?

I'd like to write about how we took a trip to NJ to visit Momo and that we ate at a great Italian place and the boys went a little pasta crazy...kinda like their Mama ;)
The truth is, it was a great trip visiting Momo. We got to spend some quality time with my Mom and visit some of my favorite spots at the shore...nothing like being on LBI when there are no crowds!
On the way home we stopped outside of Baltimore, MD for lunch...and Joel was a little out of it...we thought it was odd that he was sleeping on my chest all through lunch and didn't want to eat anything...and then he had another seizure.....we took a short ambulance ride and spent a long time in the emergency room. Thankfully, they happened to have a special pediatric unit and took great care of him. We still don't have all the answers.
Joel is doing well this morning. We were able to get in to see his Pediatrician and got an appointment in early June to see a Pediatric Neurologist. We will take it one step at a time and try to put the pieces together to find the answers. Keep him in your prayers for us please...

Bad/Good Times
This week was filled with bad & good times...it all started with Momo being admitted to the hospital for a G.I Bleed...we thought things would be ok and then she decided to visit ICU for 3 days :( Needless to say, I was in NJ most of the week and Randy was flying solo with the boys.
Two bits of good news though:
#1. Momo is home and on the mend
#2. The boys have been entertaining Owen, Momo & Pops' dog as their house guest this week!
The bad news:
#1. Eventually, Owen will be returned to Momo & Pops.
#2. Momo can't travel to WV to see the boys (or me) :(
Here was a Daddy & the Boys highlight of the week...they went to the Apple Blossom Parade with Daddy & Grandma :)
